A completed application form is required. You can get an application form through www.grad.chula.ac.th/en. You must select your mode of study on the application form: A1 Type 1 (Thesis Only code—4185) or A1 Type 2 (Thesis + Coursework code—4186). Please refer to the application instructions at this link.

A Statement of Purpose should align with your selected pathway—Experimental Communication Design or Type Design as Research—and focus on a thesis or topic related to Communication Design and Southeast Asian Studies.

Write in academic English, including your background and topic of interest, on A4 size document using Times New Roman, 12 pt font, double-spaced, and export it as a PDF. The statement must not exceed five pages, with your name clearly stated in the top-right corner of the first page.

Two recommendations. These can be obtained from a teacher, guidance counsellor or professional who knows the applicant academically and/or professionally.

• A certificate of student status from a university or college. (For applicants who are still in the final year of a degree).
• An official transcript from the previous university or institution attended.

English proficiency test scores must be valid within two years of the test date.

• CU-TEP score of at least 61TOEFL of 500IELTS score of 5.5
• *Applicants without a test score at the time of admission may submit proof of test registration as evidence.
• **Applicants who are native English speakers or graduates of institutions in countries where English is the primary language are exempt from this requirement.

A Portfolio of Creative Works (if applicable) in PDF format (file size must not exceed 10MB).

The application fee of 1,000 THB must be paid within the opening period of an application.
